India A’s batting once again failed in their ongoing Unofficial Test Series against West Indies A. On the opening day’s play of the Third and Final Test at the Beausejour Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia, the visitors were bowled out for a modest 230 after being asked to bat first by West Indies A.

The visitors were in huge trouble at 116 for 5 at one stage. It was an attacking knock of 61 (from just 59 balls) from off-spinning Madhya Pradesh all-rounder – Jalaj S Saxena that got India A to a respectable total. Saxena struck 10 fours in his entertaining innings. For the homeside, medium pacer Jonathan Carter and leggie Devendra Bishoo took three wickets each.

West Indies A closed the first day’s play at 34 for no loss in 14 overs.
